DO NOT GET HIGHLIGHTS or hair dye !I tried to get my hair dyed with highlights hoping to look exactly like I originally had them from another salon. I simply told the man to match my highlight colors and my root. I ended up looking so blonde with this weird reddish brown color for my root (my root color is dark brown). He was also very clumsy with hitting my head multiple times with the brush and very carelessly with the blow dryer. Pulling my hair very hard. (My hair is thin). Just the overall experience is not matching my previous salon experiences.

This is my first time ever writing a complaint about this store. I've been a loyal customer for 10 years because it's conveniently located near my house and because the staff has always been incredibly helpful.

NOTE: There's another yelp reviewer talking about the same store manager (Diana) being rude to customers in this store!)

On December 21, 2024, I visited two Ulta stores: one on West Hollywood and another on Pico Blvd Midtown. At Pico Blvd midtown store, I encountered a cashier who attempted to assist me with a purchase I had made earlier that day. It was an Alterna mousse that I had bought with my 20% off coupon and my points at West Hollywood. I mentioned that I had forgotten to use my manufactured $5 off coupon from Alterna at West Hollywood, and the cashier immediately stated that he would look into it and that he might get into trouble for asking the manager.

When the manager, Diana, arrived, she became visibly upset and I explained that I had forgotten to use the coupon and that the purchase had been made that day. She mentioned about her policy and that she will not accept more discounts if there was another discount made before. I pointed out that this new policy she mentioned isn't mentioned in any other stores. Despite my efforts to clarify the situation, Diana refused to look at my receipt and insisted on enforcing her policy.

I felt frustrated and disappointed because she didn't even try to help me use the coupon that was about to expire this month. I had never encountered such rudeness and condescension from a store manager before. I hope that someone higher up in management will investigate Diana's behavior, as she clearly doesn't want to help customers and seems to have a negative attitude towards her job.

I don’t always shop here because the staff has been less than helpful, but today 12/27, Sam was on checkout and went out of her way to help us find and purchase something we’d been looking for- for a long time. She was approachable, helpful, sweet and had the very best attitude I’ve ever experienced from an Ulta employee. She’s the reason I’d come back to shop at the Pico Rivera Ulta.

Horrible customer service from Cin the manager that Bella the associate brought out . The policy online states an online return can be made with the confirmation email . The manager refused to honor this and only offered store credit. If the online policy does not apply to all locations it should be stated.

Choose this store as it’s the only one in my immediate area. Have never had any issue at any of the other locations. Such a bad experience having to drive out to this location to simply be rejected.
The manager was not at all graceful or understanding.

Misleading booking site & stylist listed claims they don’t specialize in certain perms / treatments wasted my time. They knew that for over a week I was coming and no one called me to tell me until I traveled in the rain to get there. I won’t be going to this ulta ever.

Came here to last minute christmas shop with my sister and my sister was followed throughout the store. It’s good to set security incase people steal but it is uncomfortable when you’re just trying to shop and an employee is eyeing on you/following around

The staff is incredible. Took the time to really help me find a particular shade I was looking for. I've been to 3 different Sephora locations in LA and 1 in San Diego and their staff could learn quite a bit from the associates here at Ulta Beauty. What a gem of a store near our neighborhood. Please don't go anywhere.

This ulta has the absolute worst customer service at every level. I was in this store with the intention to buy a full face of makeup and a fragrance. 5 women working the floor and not one person helped me. While in the store I did my full face AND took pictures of the items and colors I wanted to purchase so I could buy them elsewhere or online. I called corporate and spoke to the manager, they were absolutely no help. This place does not care about customer service.
