My husband and I stayed at the hotel for my son's wedding.
Our brief stay was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly good. Kids options as well as for those who like to eat a little healthier and those in between. The staff was very pleasant to work with, especially Jonee and Andrew.
The room itself offered several needed items like a hair dryer, iron with board, coffee pot and small kitchen. Had we stayed longer, I'm sure we would have used. Just having the iron and hair dryer was a real blessing. If all TownePlace Suites are like this one, We will stay at no other Hotel.

We were in town visiting family and were told this was a new hotel. We were not impressed with the rooms. Already seemed to have mold growing in the bathroom, and a vent that didn't work. Folding chair for their desk. Service was a mixed bag. We got in very late. The person that checked us in was fantastic... Especially for 2am. After that, the staff was serviceable at best. Usually nobody at the front desk... So just had to call out to get attention. Location is great if you are in Leesburg. Close to their downtown area, with a few nice restaurants and bars.

We stayed here New Year's Eve. While the checkin process was smooth and the young associate (Andrew) very helpful, the room left much to be desired. This is a NEW hotel, but the sofa and ottoman were chewed up (most likely by a cat). There was no body wash in the bathroom container and the sink would not drain properly. I gave the particulars to the desk while checking out (Vivian), but got a limp sorry. One of the positives was a very good breakfast.

It is awful hard to wrestle five stars out of me for a hotel. Just check my other reviews. But this place earned five stars plus. They meet all the high standards of Marriott hotels and exceed them. I greatly appreciated their location. Right in the thick of things in Leesburg, but off the main road far enough to be exceptionally quiet. The staff was professional, fast and very pleasant. They made sure I was taken care of more than once. And my room was amazing! So much space. The price was far lower than average these days. But the room, service and the location were far above average!

We love the Mt. Dora/Tavares/Leesburg area of Florida. Would definitely stay at this Marriott property again! The beds were soooo comfortable. Our room was large, had a kitchen and had a very roomy, clean bathroom! When we checked in, the lady on the front desk suggested a nearby restaurant on a lake to celebrate a special occasion. She was correct -dinner was great. Breakfast this morning was delicious. Would definitely stay here again!

Well, everything new always looks shiny of course looks clean because it’s new but if you look into the details like how do people clean they does not sanitize properly the cleaning solution that they use it smells OK but I don’t think it’s sanitize the shower mold and doesn’t clean it the toilet has mold inside They use the kitchen towels to wipe the bathroom down or the shower. The curtains are dirty. It’s like it hasn’t been washed in a very long time, They need better housekeeping the people that they have working there does not care about cleaning properly. What a shame, And they do not clean your room every seven days, Or even change the linens, the housekeeper goes into the room and stand around on their phone or some of them busy chitchatting and not doing their job. I’ve seen these people take over an hour to clean one room….

I recently got married in Tavares, FL and this was our wedding hotel. Jonee and her team were phenomenal. Even though I was not there personally the whole weekend, my guests could not stop raving about how nice the hotel was and how accommodating the staff had been. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and travel frequently for work. Therefore, this was our first choice, and it did not disappoint. The day after the wedding I was not feeling the best, mainly from lack of sleep and stress, and my husband and I could stay till 4:00 pm, before heading off to our honeymoon, which was so nice of them.

Additionally, there was some sports event going on that weekend and many of those attendees stayed at the hotel. But my wedding guests hardly noticed because of how the hotel is laid out and the amount of rooms that they have.

I would 100% recommend this place to anyone having an event in the area. Thank you all for making our weekend so comfortable and memorable!
