Elisabeth is absolutely the best tour guide we have as a family ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her English is perfect, she is an absolute professional - and yet feels like she is part of your group/family. We had an extended tour through Cefalu with her and it was a magical experience. Being a local - she is intimately familiar with the village and the surrounding areas. Being well traveled she is an excellent judge of character and kept the tour interesting for our very varied group. Endlessly patient she also customized the whole tour for us. So kind - she also followed up after the tour and kept giving us wonderful tips. Really exceptional - do yourself a favor and book her.

Elisabeth truly made our wedding magical. There are not enough words to describe what a fantastic person she is and how much she did for us! I cannot recommend Elisabeth highly enough. We eloped from the US to Cefalu. Planning a ceremony from halfway across the world proved to be quite challenging. Elisabeth consulted with us via phone and then stayed in constant communication. She acted as our liaison with our vendors and verified all of our plans and advised us through the whole process. When our original plan of having our ceremony on a yacht fell through at the last minute due to weather, she worked tirelessly to come up with a backup plan that was better than we could have ever imagined. She added so many extra special touches to help us celebrate. From the traditional Italian wedding almonds (confetti) to the cooler of spritzer to the Prosecco after our ceremony, we could truly feel how much she cared and wanted to make our day the best it could possibly be. She also met with us the day prior and gave us a walking tour of the town and helped us pick the most amazing spots for our photos. Her knowledge of the history of Sicily was so impressive. She spoke as though she lived through every age and knew everyone through the ages personally. Elisabeth also enlisted her husband Marco and his car service to transport us the day of the ceremony. He not only carried us to our destination, he also took our photographer and stopped to pick up our flower arrangements. He then loaded them, unloaded them at the venue, placed them, and loaded them back up. He also stood in as an impromptu videographer. His Mercedes van was impeccable! We definitely arrived in style. I cannot imagine a better person than Elisabeth to trust with whatever your planning when visiting Sicily. She made our dream come true and gave us the fairytale wedding we could only imagine.

With great luck, we tracked down Elisabeth Barreca from a YouTube video on Castelbuono. We had been searching for information about our grandmother's home village. Ms Barreca very graciously accommodated us with our short time schedule and helped us find not only the street but the actual house where our family member was born and raised. She also put us in touch and translated for us with distant cousins that we never knew we had. Her knowledge of the area is very impressive and all the detailed info coming from someone who lives there is invaluable. On top of her professionalism, she is a wonderful, warm, person who went above and beyond to help us out. Elisabeth is a great resource for anyone interested in learning about and seeing the beautiful towns of Cefalu and Castelbuono and we could not recommend her more highly.

We would give Elisabeth a million stars if possible. We booked her a few weeks out from out trip in April 2024. She was quick to respond in all email interactions. The tour we chose was probably a little different from others. We have ancestors from Cefalu and shared our family tree with Elisabeth prior to arriving. She was able to give us a well-rounded picture of what life was like for our ancestors prior to immigrating to the U.S. She also drove us to the cemetery, helped us located family crypts, took us to the government offices to help us fill out paperwork to find additional family info, as well as finding contact info for the local church. Before leaving the city tour, she even connected us with family members we didn’t know about. We are able to meet them while visiting and confirm the shared family tree. It was not only an informative and helpful tour, but we left Cefalu with filled hearts and wide smiles for the amazing experience and the new connections. We would highly recommend Elisabeth’s services. She’s kind, knowledgable and professional. She’s fantastic!

Elisabeth was our tour guide on a day tour to the mountain villages above Cefalu in Sicily. We were picked up in Cefalu and driven by Marco to the church of Maria, Isnello, and Castelbuono. Elisabeth was extremely well informed about the ancient buildings, the village histories, and the beautiful artifacts and details of the churches and the castle. The tour was extremely well organized and efficient as we drove from place to place, seemingly spending enough time in each one. Elisabeth led us to an awesome coffee and pastry (cannolo) experience and to a tasty bread bakery in Isnello. We had an incredible lunch in Castelbuono at the Palazzacio restaurant where Elisabeth knows the owners. The food and the ambience were excellent and Elisabeth continued to share stories about the area and the history. One of the things we liked best was that Elisabeth was able to adapt her presentation to our preferences and was very comfortable and casual in her delivery. Her English is exemplary, both speaking and understanding. I highly recommend Elisabeth as a tour guide.

Elisabeth was so helpful in coordinating a cooking class for my husband and I on our first visit to cefalu! She picked us up and transported us to the house and was very flexible in the menu offerings. She stayed with us the whole time to help translate and we even stayed longer for the class than it was scheduled because we enjoyed our conversation with her and the host so much. We definitely plan to come back next summer and hopefully use the beautiful outdoor kitchen!
