Prompt but poor workmanship

Although Aire Serv of West Allis was very prompt, I can not recommend them because of the poor workmanship. This company was selected by my AHS Warranty to repair (and eventually replace my furnace). The owner, Angel, was very helpful in working with my warranty company to find a replacement unit and they were out within a day to install.

Even though they were very prompt there were multiple issues of poor workmanship that followed:
1. After about 8 hours the furnace cut off and wouldn't run.
* They returned to repair and said a PVC pipe for exhaust had been incorrectly angled / installed and caused the shutoff.
2. During this visit I made them aware that the duct work they built around the new furnace was leaking around all edges.
* They used silicone (sloppily) to repair it and told me it was fixed before they left.
3. Once they left I went down to inspect and found PVC dust everywhere and noticed they didn't seal the one side of the duct, so air was still dumping out of it.
* This required another visit to patch up the duct to create a proper seal.

This was 3 visits within 24 hours - if handled properly it could have been one.

They were great at communicating from the home office and worked to remedy issues quickly, but because of the poor workmanship I would NOT recommend using them for your HVAC needs.

We love Aire Serv! I established a relationship with the owner Doug before he acquired the franchise. Doug is a man of principles. Honest, competent, hard working. We will be life long customers. Every one of his technicians shares those values. Good people attract good people I guess. The epitome of professionalism, competency, and value.

Yesterday we had Ian and Donovan do our Spring tune up. They noticed my furnace fan needed a cleaning and my air conditioner had a capacitor that was failing. While Ian removed the fan and cleaned it thoroughly, Donovan made a special trip back to the warehouse for a new capacitor.

Between their maintenance program and actual service, we have never had heat or A/C problems. Better running equipment costs less electricity to run and lasts longer. Furthermore, the number and severity of allergy related illnesses has dramatically decreased in our family after upgrading our furnace with whole house humidification and UV HEPA filtration.

Niko and Donovan were just here to do an AC service check. They were professional, friendly and got the job done. They even informed us of things that could be an issue in a year or so and provided some preventative options. Happy with the service provided.

Ian is my hero! Not only did he get my AC up and running he was kind, professional, and polite. I would absolutely give him 5 stars! Also, Jess in the office is spectacular, she was very helpful and explained everything so I was able to understand it. Y'all rock!

Called this company and found out it was just purchased by a new owner- the customer service was outstanding! The tech walked me through everything that he did to my furnace for a tune up, he put it in terms that I could easily understand and showed me pictures and videos of everything they did. They did a fantastic job. Highly recommend!
