This is my review of my time at dignity health er on 12/23/24 First of all I want to say the people I did interact with were decently nice. The issue(s) I had are the efficiency of this place. I was there for a total of 6.5 hours. I was admitted, with a high grade fever, severely dehydrated, shakes, diarrhea/vomiting, and could barely stand up. I asked if I could get a wheel chair assist to wherever I was going, I was told “no” so every single staff member I was wish watched me stumble down long corridors to different departments instead of offering to help. All while I can barely open my eyes, and the room is spinning and I’m trying actively not to fall down on anybody else who is injured.

Second, it took 3 hours to receive any sort of medication, obviously the first thing that should have been prescribed to me are IV fluids, knowing that why would it take 3 hours to give me Tylenol and fluids?

Third, it’s the time of year for flu, why am I being tested for the flu at five ours in? It makes no sense, you keep me propped up in an awful uncomfortable chair waiting and waiting (along with everybody else waiting the same time for any sort of treatment) and then I’m told I need to wait even longer to go home. Without having anything confirmed or identified as wrong with me other than “something viral”.

I will not return to the hospital even if it’s. The only choice in my vicinity.

Hopefully everything work out good with my surgery. It was nice and clean.i seen my doctor before surgery but I did not see him in the surgery room and I didn't feel comfortable. Then an issue with my medicine the nurse told me that they don't write out an prescription after surgery I have to by it over the counter.wait one minute you just fid a whole surgery on my and you not go gave me any prescription to take. That was very weid.you all need to retrain the nurses before it become a big issue.

I went into the ER with a COPD flair-up. I was left in ER for 4 days. When a room became available it took around 3hrs to clean it. They gave me medication that I told them I couldn't take, which didn't help with my breathing. They stole my money out of my purse in the bags that they gave me. I discharged myself and they wouldn't give me my inhaler that I take to go home with. I had to go to Urgent Care for medication. I would never refer anyone to this Hospital.

I had a good experience at the hospital. The nurses were very nice and were bilingual. I arrived with a serious migraine and was seen in less than an hour. Thank you to all the team who provided me with outstanding care!

The ER nurses are so rude. Well, at least the ones that attended me for my son’s head. Security guard instructed me directions to go towards the ER, once I got there… this LADY besides the security at the emergency room asked me to sign in and when I did she told me to initial so I did & she crossed out everything that I wrote down. Excuse me but you did not explain to me what to write down lol. Then on top of that the nurse who called my son’s name that attended us seemed like a smart ass. She asked what was wrong with my 10 month old and I explained to her what had happened then proceeded to say he’s fine and asked me if I’m a first time mother. It’s none of her business to know that kind of information just seemed to me like if she was being judge mental. These nurses that attended me and my son are not professional at all. There either has to be a better pay rate, different nurses, write ups but definitely these nurses in the ER are not satisfied with their salary and think they can speak to their patients in that manner. I can’t say otherwise for the pediatric doctor that attended my son. She was very courteous and patient with my son and I. This hospital needs to do better. The building is confusing, space is too tight, and too many small lobbies for no reason. The front of the hospital is perfect, amazing, and amazing front desk security but the ER… yeah that’s a different kind of story. If you have children or babies don’t take them here, the nurses don’t care and won’t take their time checking. They’ll just be biased in any way. I recommend going to children’s hospital in Cesar Chavez where your child will get attended better and have more informative nurses as well as specialist. My mistake was coming to the ER thinking I’d get the right people to care for my son, never again. The ER in this hospital is a joke !(P.S. this rude nurse had pink extensions that night and is of Asian descent)

The wait time can be long and the way people talk to you here can be condescending. The nurses at this hospital are not professional and rude and they do not care. As if this was just another job to them. They will laugh and gossip with one another as they check your vitals....

I had a nurse begin asking me questions and halfway into me talking, he realized he was talking to the wrong patient and just walked away as I was mid-sentence...

The doctors (specifically the doctors at the ER) are a different story. They are very caring and respectful. You guys are awesome, thank you!

Literally the only reason why I'm not giving them 1 star....
