We’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times, and each visit has always been a great experience. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, greeting you as soon as you walk through the door. The lobby is always clean and inviting, setting the tone for a comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained—exactly what We’ve come to expect.

However, during our most recent stay, we encountered some issues that were surprising. The bathroom vanity light had a malfunction, flickering on and off, and the bottom of the shower stall was not properly cleaned. There was rust on the brushed chrome fixtures, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. The cleanliness inside the room also left much to be desired—there were packets of food from previous guests, the windows were really dirty on the inside, and the side of the fridge was covered in grease splatters. Additionally, the table had dried food down the side of it.

While I was disappointed by these issues, I understand that this may have been an isolated incident, as my previous visits have been flawless. Despite this, I remain confident in the overall quality of the hotel, and I will absolutely stay again. This experience won’t deter me from returning, but it is something the hotel should address to maintain the high standards I've always enjoyed.

While our experience at the start of our trip was exceptional—thanks to the courteous staff, spacious rooms, and immaculate cleanliness—our stay ended in outrage and disappointment. Our brand-new truck was stolen from the hotel’s parking lot, a shocking and entirely preventable incident. To make matters worse, we only discovered the theft at 9:00 a.m. during breakfast, when a family member noticed our truck was missing.
It was infuriating to learn that the theft had occurred approximately seven hours earlier, and even more so when hotel staff casually stated, “That truck was stolen last night.” This cavalier attitude was compounded by the revelation that this was not the first instance of vehicle theft at this location.

Toronto and surrounding areas like Clarkson are facing a well-documented surge in auto theft, yet Marriott—a global leader in the hospitality industry—appears to have done little to address this glaring security failure. As a company that prides itself on providing world-class service, it is unacceptable that guests are left vulnerable to such crimes.

Marriott must immediately implement robust security measures to ensure guest safety and deter criminals:

• Access Control: Secure parking areas with barriers such as gates, bollards, and retractable spikes to prevent unauthorized vehicle movement.
• Comprehensive Surveillance: Upgrade the outdated CCTV network with high-definition cameras that cover all entry/exit points, parking spaces, and stairwells. These cameras must have night vision and motion detection capabilities, given that most thefts occur in the early hours of the morning.
• Security Personnel: Employ trained guards to patrol parking areas and station them at entry/exit points to deter criminal activity. Their visible presence would prevent thieves from scouting and targeting vehicles.
• Advanced Technology: Restrict parking access using room access key cards or QR codes, ensuring only authorized guests can access the area.

It is also Marriott’s responsibility to inform guests of the risks they face, especially at locations with a history of vehicle theft. Guests should be warned not to leave valuables in their vehicles and be made aware of the high likelihood of theft in the area. This transparency is critical to rebuilding trust and avoiding the appearance of negligence.

Marriott’s failure to act on these security lapses reflects poorly on its commitment to guest safety. Without immediate action, this negligence will continue to tarnish the brand’s reputation and erode customer trust. It is time for Marriott to take its responsibilities seriously and implement the necessary measures to protect its guests.

출장 첫 날 피로를 풀기 위해 하루 투숙 했습니다. 친절한 미소로 응대 해주는 리셉션과 하우스키핑 직원들을 보며 편안했고 주차 시설이 편리 했습니다. 호텔 내부와 객실 분위기가 좋았고 깨끗하며 이용 가능한 주방 도구들이 있었습니다. 나는 이곳에서의 경험이 아주 만족스럽고 지금은 다른 도시에 있지만 나의 일정이 끝나는 마지막 날 토론토에 가면 다시 이 곳을 찾을 것 입니다.

Stayed here overnight and was suprised how great this hotel is. Room was spacious, clean, smells great, facilities are complete from kitchen, sink, fridge, freezer, dining area, lounge area, massive rotating tv. It was perfect for 4 adults and a toddler. Best part - free breakfast (eggs, sausage, hasbrown, patties, waffle, bread were available as hot food and then a whole section of pasties, cereals, bagels. We also took a plunge at the pool and since its winter we were delighted it was heated. Not to mention, staff here were so lovely from the welcome team, to breakfast staff, even the cleaner. Thank you for the wondeful stay Residence Inn.

We took an extended road trip to the Toronto area in July 2024 and stayed here on the way home. The biggest selling points were the location (right off the highway) and price (got separate rooms for kids and parents).

But when we got there, we were very impressed by the staff, the size of the rooms, and the cleanliness. We all agreed it was the best place we stayed on the whole trip. Breakfast the next morning was also delightful. Filling, warm, and delicious. Thanks for making our stay easy and great!

It exceeded my expectations in every possible way.|||It was expensive compared to other options, but as I was part of an international sporting teams package (AFL), it was convenient. The staff (all of them, reception, housekeeping, breakfast and maintenance) were fantastic and never had an issue with my queries. From the outset Cathy went above and beyond to help with my booking and changes to arrival times.|||The facilities were first class. The rooms were well appointed and were very homely. I loved the bed. The breakfast was expansive and definitely exceeded my expectations. |||For a hotel hosting at 90% capacity for nearly two weeks, you did very well. It was amazing and if we ever come back to Toronto, we will consider Residence Inn Mississauga Southwest as a priority for our accommodation.|||There is a GO station close by (2.4km - about 20 mins walk) that will connect you to downtown and Niagara Falls.||Walk across the road to a well resourced strip mall with ATM (bank), grocery shop (Metro) similar to Coles/ Woolies (AU) or Tesco/Waitrose (UK).

Very conveniently located between Pierson airport and Oakville. The property is new, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a decent breakfast included. Ideal with a family for a few days. We really enjoyed our stay. I lost my wallet on our last day and Areena at the reception found it and return it. Thank you so much.

Only staying here for proximity to a clinic. The stay has been trying. From limited cleaning service (which seems to be reflected by the pest infestation - see the video I uploaded) and poorly maintained rooms, the hotel isn’t ideal.

The first night I stayed on the top floor and noticed bugs in the restroom. I informed the front desk who stated there was nothing they could do and would move me the following day. The new room also has the same bugs present. It seems this hotel’s policy to clean intermittently is insufficient as evidenced by a pest issue.

If Oakville had a better hotel I would have moved instantly.

Go up
