This was our (older couple) first visit to Grand Lake and we chose Big Horn Lodge because of the proximity to town. After booking, we saw some reviews that weren’t very flattering, so we checked in with a little trepidation. Fortunately, everything was great. It looks like the place had recently been spruced up. Our first floor room was spacious and clean, with a nice bathroom and functioning microwave, frig and coffee machine. The woman who checked us in could not have been more pleasant and helpful. All in all, two thumbs up.

Very clean, spacious room with nice comfy beds and soft pillows. However, the toilet is VERY low, especially for anyone who is taller. The water heated up quickly in the shower. Other than that, I would recommend the Lodge and would stay here again!

Bighorn Lodge was amenities only.
We booked a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke when we walked in. They have really plush carpet with crusty spots all over the place. There was no waste basket in the room or bathroom, no phone to call the front desk, no "Do Not Disturb" sign for the door and only 1 chair and 1 nightstand also our ceiling fan didn't work. When we opened the dresser drawers, we found food crumbs & ketchup splatters inside. They apparently don't clean them. The balcony is a shared balcony with plastic patio chairs. The parking lot is tight and awkward. The best thing about Bighorn Lodge was the location. It is walking distance to main street and the lake. It was also the cheapest lodging available in the area. However, it was overpriced for what it was. For charging ~$200 per night, it should have been much nicer. Overall, we were disappointed.

I booked a last minute room recently for my family. My husband and daughter had been backpacking for several days and had to cancel their plans due to the weather. The hotel staff helped me immensely by finding a light that I could use on the trail that night so I could find them. We were so grateful to have a nice bed and shower to come back to! Stayed here while passing through and chose it for it's price and location, and was very happy with the quality and service. Staff were pleasant to deal with, despite my habit for forgetting things and needing help. I would absolutely stay here again!

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again. The only downside was the Wi-Fi it was not very good but since we didn’t spend a lot of time in the room it wasn’t a deal breaker.

Clean. There is a fridge. Polite lady at the desk. Grand Lake is not the friendliest place. Granby is unfriendly. But this place was just perfect for a shower and a sleep after a long day of hiking. There is also an ice machine and pets allowed, too.

Stayed one night while on a bicycle tour through the area. Was very pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. Check in was very fast, the room was large, clean and had the usual amenities (microwave, mini fridge, flat screen TV, Keurig coffee maker, and AC). Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The Wi-Fi was spotty, but not a real problem. Definitely would not hesitate to stay again.
